Houston Light Rail Guide

The Houston Light Rail system is not the best light-rail system around, but it will get the job done. Here's a few tips to get you going!

• Know where to get off!

  Nothing's worse than spending more time getting un-lost than having fun. Check the attractions page for rail stop information.

• Always ride with friends!

  As always, a little caution goes a long way, especially when making that evening run to the store.

• The Light Rail doesn't run 24/7! (timetable)

  As awesome as it would be, the light rail operators are not robots and do need rest. Here is the timetable, you can find a PDF download there as well.

• Rice has 2 main stops:

  • The Zoo stop is close to Lovett College
  • The Rice University/Hermann Park stop is close to the lovely and very sweet Brown College

• Make sure to pay!

  Nancy has money cards in her office. If your card runs out pick up a Q-card at the cashier's office.
